Dear Fellow eCoin Forum Member,

You can find upcoming coin releases at the United States Mint Website. http://www.usmint.gov. Remember not to confuse coins and commemoratives from the Franklin Mint and other private companies from the real legal tender coins of the US Government.

The United States Mint will issue the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin. This coin is a throwback to the Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ vision of the original ultra high relief coin that could not be realized in 1907 with his legendary Double Eagle liberty design. Only a few original 1907 High Relief Coins were minted and are extremely valuable. http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/ultrahigh/

This should be an interesting year with Gold Prices back above $850 as of January 1, 2009. Other exciting 2009 US Mint Programs include:

D.C. & U.S. Territories Quarters® Program
Presidential $1 Coins
First Spouse Gold Coins
Native American $1 Coins
2009 Lincoln One Cent Coins
2009 American Buffalo - 24K
2009 American Eagles
2009 Commemoratives
2009 Medals

Happy Collecting!

Here is an image of the Gold Gaudens High Relief Coin. Notice the deep terrain in the gold fields.
